BRIGHTON BRUSHES

Traditional crafts tend to be regionalised due to the materials available in certain areas. On reflection of this, I have formed regional collections that employ locally sourced materials from two distinct locations, Berkshire and Brighton. The resulting collections utilise washed up fishing net, driftwood, naturally shed deer antler and horsehair. The brushes produced are embodied with functions derived from the form of found materials.

This project shows the Brighton Brushes; see Berkshire Brushes to view the complimentary collection.
