Walking the Leaway:

The Leaway is an ongoing project to join up existing River Lea pathways into a continuous walking and cycling route from the London Olympic Park to the River Thames. As a sustainable transport route it is a catalyst to regenerating an industrialised landscape, acting as a backbone of green infrastructure to new parklands and urban development. See the Lea River Park design manual.

As a piecemeal project, the Leaway will likely take many more years to complete and so I spent early 2016 Walking the Leaway to look at this landscape of transition. The order of photographs start from where the Waterworks River exits the Olympic Park and follow the paths south towards Leamouth.
