Baba Yaga is the moniker for an ongoing project by artist duo Jen Yakamovich and Caitlin Secondcost. Using visual disguise, audio distortion, field recordings, live & looped percussion, and their physical bodies, the duo explore acts of grieving, deceiving, and trauma bonding with the human and more-than-human world. They use humour, exaggeration, and clichés to highlight the absurdity of cultural dualisms.

Their first installation, [we're]wolves in sheep's clothing, was the result of a collaborative project at the White Rabbit Arts Residency in Lower Economy, Nova Scotia in August 2019.

Their second performance, Baba Yaga: a ballet, was developed in Halifax, Nova Scotia in December 2019.
