Igor Cavallini Johansen, Ph.D.

Igor Cavallini Johansen, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. He is a sociologist and demographer, conducting interdisciplinary studies about the complex interactions between population and environment, and the impacts on health. He has been investigating different areas in Brazil, with a particular focus on the Amazon region. His main areas of interest are population and environment, social determinants of health, environmental health, urbanization and living conditions, geoprocessing, spatial analysis, infectious and parasitic diseases, and socioenvironmental impacts of large hydropower dams in Brazil.
