Add a Logo to your Website
This article will show you how to change your logo image.
You can add your own logo image to your Format site. Logo images will be resized to fit your theme. Each theme displays logos at different sizes.
It is best to make a logo image that is at least 900 pixels wide and to crop it as tight as you can before uploading.
Let's get started!
Log in to your Format account. This will take you to your site's Dashboard.
Under General click Website Logo. A menu will expand.
By default your site's logo will be the text entered under Logo Text. In this case the logo text is 'My Site.'
For best results we recommend you prepare your logo at a width of 900px on the longest axis so that when it is added and reduced it will appear much sharper on-screen.
If you have a photographic-style image, save as an sRGB JPG file.
If you have a mainly text-based logo or graphic and want the background to appear underneath (transparent) save as a Transparent PNG file.
When you add add a logo image it will replace the Logo Text on your site.
Add Logo Image
Under Logo Image click Add.
Choose and Upload
Browse to your logo and select your logo image file.
A mini-progress bar will appear in the Logo Image field.
When the upload completes you will see the your logo image appear in the preview.
Replace or Remove Logo Image
Click Replace to replace your logo image. Or click the 'X' to remove your logo image. (If you remove your logo image the text under Logo Text will become the logo on your site.)
Click Save Changes.
A warning message will appear. This lets you know that your changes will be visible on your live site.
Click Apply To Live Site.
Your logo image now appears on your live site.
