Adding Disqus Comments to Your Blog
This article will demonstrate the process of setting up Disqus and adding it to your Format site. If you already have an account, skip to the section labeled "Getting Your Disqus Shortname" below.
Sign Up at Disqus.com
Point your browser to Disqus.com and click Sign Up at the top of the page to register your account.
Create an Account
Enter your Email address, along with your desired username and password to create your account. You can also sign up using an existing social profile on Facebook, Twitter or Google+.
Getting Your Disqus Shortname
From your Disqus home page, click on the Settings Icon, and select Add Disqus to Site.
Select Your Shortname
Enter your desired Disqus Site Name (the name of your blog as you want it to appear to the public on Disqus). The text you enter in the highlighted box will become your Shortname which will be used across the Disqus network, as well as on your Settings Page on Format. Copy this text to your clipboard, then choose Finish registration. This shortname will be used on Format.
Navigate to Your Blog Settings on Format
Access your Blog's Settings on Format.
Add Your Disqus Shortname
Set the Blog Commenting switch to the "On" position, and paste in your Disqus shortname. Be careful to enter it correctly, as an incorrectly entered shortname will display an error on your Blog.
