Ana Luisa Bernárdez Notz (Venezuela)
Ana Luisa Bernárdez is a Venezuelan interdisciplinary artist, DJ, and art administrator based in Toronto. Ana Luisa completed a bachelor of fine arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) in 2020. She was appointed chairperson for the years 2021-23 on the board of Pleasure Dome, an run-artist presentation and publisher organization. She is also an active member of Colectivo Satelital based in Toronto. In 2021, Ana Luisa co-curated the collective exhibition Moving Homeward with Sylvia Nowak in partnership with Pleasure Dome, Toronto.
Ana Luisa’s studio work is time-media based and photography. Through those mediums, she reflects on time and memory concepts. Ana Luisa’s work has been part of the collective exhibitions Cue Art Show 22 (2022), a virtual reality show by CUE Art Projects in Toronto, the online exhibition by the Thin Places curatorial project curated by Jenny (Yiping) Zhang, and Making Spaces (2020) curated by Karina Roman Justo, Sur Gallery, Toronto.
