Carrie Nielsen is an undergraduate student in Michigan State University's Department of Sociology and a member of MSU’s Honors College. She is earning a BS in Sociology and a second BA in Economics with a minor in Quantitative Data Analytics. She is an Alumni Distinguished Scholar and a member of the Social Science Scholars Program and the Econ Scholars Program at Michigan State. For this project, Nielsen is currently working as a research assistant on the Survey Team. In her free time, she is involved with several organizations on campus, including the Refugee Outreach Collective, St. Vincent Catholic Charities, and Women and Minorities in Economics.
