The Booooooom × Format
Creative Development Program
This isn’t about finding the most polished portfolio or the largest following. Created in partnership between Format and Booooooom, the Creative Development Program is designed to help visual creators think more clearly about their work, how they present it, and where they want to take it next.
We’re looking for curiosity, commitment, and a genuine desire to grow — people who will make the most of the tools, feedback, and guidance on offer.

Build your portfolio and write your statements
Use Format’s Reflex theme to build your page and upload images of your work. Then add two short written statements: the first should explain what we’re looking at; the second is your chance to share where you are in your practice and what kind of support or direction you’re hoping to find. Make sure your full name is on your page.

Once you’ve signed up through the program link and your submission meets the requirements, you’re entered. No extra forms, no extra steps. We’ll reach out to selected recipients directly after the submission window closes on September 2.

Terms & Conditions
Eligibility — The Booooooom × Format Creative Development Program (the “Program”) is open to all visual artists aged 18 and over, worldwide, including existing Format subscribers. Employees and contractors of Format and Booooooom, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.
Entry Period — The Program opens on July 14, 2026 and closes on September 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. Submissions received after the close date will not be considered.
How to Apply —To be eligible for selection, submissions must meet all of the following requirements:
- Signed up for Format via the official Booooooom program UTM link (new users), or submitted via the existing member entry form (current Format subscribers)
- Portfolio page built using the Reflex theme on Format
- Images of original work uploaded (entrant’s own work; no AI-generated images; no sample/placeholder content)
- Two written statements on the entrant’s portfolio page: (1) a description of the work submitted; (2) a statement about where they are in their practice and what kind of
support or direction they are seeking - Entrant’s full name displayed on the portfolio page
Submissions that do not meet these requirements will be disqualified prior to review. There is no limit on the number of submissions.
Prizes
Grand Prize (1 recipient): Lifetime Format subscription + personal mentorship with Jeff Hamada, Editor-in-Chief of Booooooom.com (structure and duration of mentorship to be confirmed with the recipient) + featured coverage on Booooooom and Format’s editorial and social channels.
Runner-Up Prize (2 recipients): 1-year Format subscription + portfolio review session with Stanzie Tooth (Format) + featured on Format’s social channels.
Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. Format subscriptions are subject to Format’s standard Terms of Service.
Selection — Recipients will be selected by a panel including representatives from Booooooom and Format. Selection criteria prioritise demonstrated curiosity, commitment, and desire to grow — not technical skill or prior recognition. The decision of the panel is final.
Winner Notification — Selected recipients will be contacted by email using the address associated with their Format account. If a recipient does not respond within [X] days of notification, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate applicant.
Privacy — By applying, participants agree that Format and Booooooom may use their name, portfolio page, and submitted images for promotional purposes across their respective editorial platforms, email communications, and social media channels. Participants retain all copyright to their submitted work.
Personal information collected through this Program will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Program and communicating with participants, in accordance with Format’s Privacy Policy and Booooooom’s Privacy Policy.
By submitting, you grant Format, Inc. and Booooooom a royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, worldwide, irrevocable right and license to reproduce, publicly display and otherwise utilize your site submission and other submitted content to advertise, market, and promote Format and Booooooom. Submitter will receive image credit on any image used. Submission must be the original work of the entrant and entrant must be the sole owner of the copyright. Anyone who submits an image must have obtained express written consent to submit any image that contains persons other than the entrant or third-party elements not owned by the submitter. Submitter maintains sole copyright of the work.
General — Format and Booooooom reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Program at any time in the event of technical issues, fraud, or circumstances beyond their reasonable control. By applying, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
