Jakub Rozalski, or “Mr. Werewolf” as he’s known online, is a conceptual fine artist based out of Poland. His surreal paintings are a brilliant nod both to a historical (albeit altered) past and a creeping, unforeseen future, as his works often marry traditional Polish themes and cultural icons with dystopian possibility. Case in point, his celebrated series 1920+ reimagines the Polish-Soviet War in a world where giant robots and futuristic artillery pepper the countryside. Jakub’s work has since inspired both a board game and videogame of the same name: Scythe.
